Offer what you have written to God, and ask that it may bear fruit as you listen to the call of God for you.  Close with the Our Father or the following prayer:

Loving God,
may I take on the mind and heart of Christ,
that I may hear your call for my life
and embrace your world
through my prayer, my work, and my life with others,
in Jesus Christ.
Amen.

I praise you,
for I am fearfully and
wonderfully made.

Day 2 (part 2).

Called According to How I Am Made

Keeping in mind what you have written on the previous page, ask the Spirit of God to guide you as you ponder the following questions:

  • What are the gifts and talents you recognize in yourself?
  • What are the gifts you would like to have?
  • What are the gifts you feel called to share?

You are "wonderfully made," and you have qualities and gifts which are given not only for your individual good, but which are also intended to be a blessing for the world.

As you ponder how you are made, always be open to the possibility that God may reveal gifts of which you are not yet aware.

Be realistic, however.  For example, if you weigh 90 pounds, it is unlikely that playing football would be your greatest gift to the world!

You might want to write your reflections in the box to the right and save or print out this page as part of your discernment journal.
